Dustin Campbell IMed me this morning to say that he's suddenly been getting higher rates of visits fromm a link on a post on my site. What was going on?

I hadn't looked at Google Analytics for my site for a few days so I fired it up. Yesterday, I had treble the number of visitors I usually have. All from a comment by Roddy on this post on Coding Horror. Another interesting thing was the links to Dustin were coming from a different page that that linked to by Roddy, so visitors were reading more than one page on the site.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I hereby coin another Internet phrase: to be codinghorrored means to be linked to from Coding Horror, in such a way that your web server starts to sweat with the sudden influx of visitors.
